The Premier league season has kicked started again and even at this early stage the question already is, which sides will finish in the top four? Manchester City and Liverpool will be strongly expected to finish in first and second and be battling it out for the title. This is little surprise when you look at the fact runners-up Liverpool finished 25 points clear of the third placed side Chelsea. However, following this pair it looks very open. Here we cover the leading candidates to qualify for the Champions league.
Tottenham are around 4/9 at present to finish in the top four. This has proved a popular choice for punters using the new betshah sportsbook. They will be strongly expected to do so, as the club continue to go on a strong upward curve. They are in their new stadium and will be looking to challenge for all major trophies now moving forward. They finished in fourth last season, despite being very inconsistent for much of the season. Tottenham also progressed through to the Champions league final, before the defeat to Liverpool. Spurs have also opened up with a victory over Aston Villa this season and will be hoping to continue this form moving forward.
Arsenal are currently available at 11/10 to finish in the top four. They missed out last season by just one point in the Premier league, with the poor form at the end of the season being the difference. This included them losing three of their last five league fixtures. They were also defeated in the final of the Europa league, which was another opportunity to play in the Champions league this season. They have brought in a club record signing and will now be expected to push back into the top four this season.

Manchester United are 11/10 to finish in the top four this season. They put in a very poor showing last year in finishing in sixth spot, so will be expected to improve dramatically this season. They made a very promising start with the victory over Chelsea with new record signing Harry Maguire, having an instant positive impact.

Chelsea finished in third last season and picked up the Europa league, so it is surprising they are around 2/1 to finish in the top four. However, they lost their leading player Hazard to Real Madrid and are also in the current period of a transfer ban. Frank Lampard has a huge task on his hands at Chelsea and if they can finish in the top four and if they do so, this would be a fantastic achievement. They opened the season with a heavy defeat against Manchester United but have put in a more positive showing against Liverpool in the Super Cup defeat on penalties.
